Relux: Mercedes-Benz S-Class Makeover

Relux may not be as widely recognized as its fellow German tuners, but the company has a strong following in the UAE If you've ever wondered what might happen if you gave a $100,000 Mercedes-Benz S-Class to a group of blind school-children, German tuners Relux may be able to give you a clue as to the result. Perhaps that may be a little harsh, but we're positive the design of this latest tuner S-Class will leave opinions divided.

The new kit from Relux consists in a new front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, new side sills and a new rear bumper featuring an interesting design for the air diffuser but also for the new exhaust system. The kit is completed by the new 20 inch wheels painted in matte black but don’t worry, the program includes more: according to the tuning company they also offer some ECU tweaking, a new exhaust system and an new turbochargers. For those who don’t want to improve the engine they can choose a new interior for their Mercedes but also a new multimedia system and special interior lightning.

Major appearance changes are in the new front spoiler with integrated LED daytime running lights. The rear is more interesting however, with four trapezoidal tailpipes which look slightly off-centre on either side of the large diffuser. Black 20-inch wheels, side skirts, tinted windows and brake lights complete the exterior looks.

Despite its aesthetic issues, the Relux S-Class does have something to offer in the way of mechanical upgrades. According to the German company, they offer ECU upgrades, as well as mechanical modifications such as custom exhaust systems and even new turbochargers, which should see the S-Class pick up a few extra horses. Even the interior can be upgraded, but considering their work with the outside of the car we'd be a bit hesitant to let them loose in our own S-Class.
